Long before Krampus became a modern holiday horror icon, he belonged to the darker side of old European winter folklore—a horned figure associated with the Krampusnacht traditions of the Alpine regions, appearing alongside the season of St. Nicholas as a reminder that winter was not only a time of gifts and celebration, but also of consequence, boundaries, and reckoning.

Our Krampus Ritual Candle draws inspiration from that older folklore.
